Bus Cancellations and Lunches
Please be advised that when buses are cancelled due to inclement weather, we will not have parent volunteers available to distribute milk or hot lunches. Parents should ensure their children have a drink and a lunch on those particular days.

The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board has been involved in the preparation of an updated Capital Strategic Plan intended to provide a long-term strategy to accommodate students of our Board. This plan responds to the capital funding programs and guidelines of the Ministry of Education and is an ongoing process which includes community consultation.
The Board has scheduled three Public Information Meetings as noted below where you are invited to learn about our capital needs and our process, including next steps.

| | 4/23/2007 1:54 PM | Local public schools will benefit from the General Mills Race to Read Program, designed by Brighton Speedway Park staff to encourage literacy while learning about the fast cars and their local drivers. The participating grade three class that reads the most minutes will be invited to attend the races, where the champion individual reader will be awarded their prizes, on May 20, 2006. Each student participating will also receive a race ticket. |
| | 4/10/2007 2:09 PM | In March students and the parent Council at St. Mary's raised funds for the Quinte Humane Society and Fixed fur Life. In total $1068.00 was raised through their combined efforts.
The top 3 classes were as follows:

#3. Mr. Plante...............$65.30
Ms. A. McCauley's class will be receiving their free pizza lunch on Friday April 13th.

| | 2/20/2007 10:08 AM | St. Mary School, Trenton held its annual Hoops For Heart event on Friday, February 16. Thirty-seven participants were active for the morning by taking part in a three-on-three tournament and a Bump Challenge. The students were pleased to donate pledges amounting to $1200, a school best, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
