Students Participate in Local Food Blitz

Close to 100 Holy Cross and Our Lady of Lourdes students, teachers and parents took part in this year’s Food Blitz on Wednesday, May 19th. Based at Holy Cross for the first time, the group began the evening by going door-to-door asking for non-perishable food items. The items were then brought back to Holy Cross where they were sorted and boxed before being loaded into the trailer which would transport them to the Food Bank warehouse the next day. A good time was had by all, and most importantly, over 110,000 food items were collected to help local families in need through the Partners In Mission Food Bank.
