As state in the agenda and in the September newsletter, students are strongly discouraged from bringing articles to school that are not required for instructional purposes or those not approved by the classroom teacher. Teachers have expressed their concerns about these items because some children have gameboys, walkmans, ipods and even cell phones in the classroom. Therefore, it is our preference that these items not even come to school. If parents choose to send these items to school, they are not to be taken out or used in the classroom. They would be allowed only for outside recesses. Cell phones are to be kept in the student's backpack turned off and are not for use at all on school property. The school cannot assume any responsibility if these items are lost or damaged. | | |
We are asking that parents and caregivers please keep their children at home if they are not feeling well, and to mention any flu-like symptons when you are calling to report thier absence. We are re-enforcing proper hand washing procedures and we have installed hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the school in order to encourage more frequent cleansing. We will send home updates from the Health Unit and Board Office as we receive them. | | | Please continue to check your children's hair for nits and remind them not to share combs, brushes or hats. Thank you! |
