Happy New Year!
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome new and returning St. Michael students, families and staff members to the 2013-2014 school year. We are pleased to be part of a collaborative Catholic school community that is focused on student learning and a commitment to high expectations.
Our school is blessed with a caring, dedicated staff committed to creating opportunities for students to share their many gifts. Included in our community is our school parish, St. Michael the Archangel. Under the guidance and spiritual direction of our parish priests, Rev. Richard Whalen and Rev. Christian Ifezue, our students will have the opportunity to grow and flourish through the sacraments and through daily life at school. We place great value on the triad that defines quality Catholic education - school, home, and church. Together we can prepare our 21st century learners for a productive meaningful life, accepting of all those around us, while working together in the image of Jesus Christ.
At St. Michael we are fortunate to have a school council that has, and continues to be, a tremendous support to our school community. As well, we have dedicated volunteers who give of their time and energy to enrich the learning experience of all our students. We are proud of the efforts of our talented students as they work to achieve the curriculum expectations, while living the example of Jesus. Our students are offered many opportunities to grow as a member of our Catholic school community through sports teams, clubs, extracurricular activities and service initiatives. Our students demonstrate the Christian call to service through their many acts of kindness, continually showing their genuine concern for others.
We look forward to a wonderful year with our students as we work together to achieve continual academic, spiritual and social growth.
Yours in Catholic Education,
Mrs. Janet Demaiter Mrs. Christina Ackerman
