The Special Education team at St. Martha Catholic School is committed to working with our students, parents, Teachers, Educational Assistants, board and community members to meet the needs of all exceptional students.
We believe that each child is unique.
The needs of our exceptional students will be met through programs and services which foster the atmosphere of a Catholic School Community in the most enabling environment.

Personalized Computers (SEA)
Many students are actively using their personal computers funded by the Ministry of Education. By participating in regular computer training and working closely with the Classroom teacher and SERTs, our students are learning about the benefits of technology.

 What is an I.E.P.?


An I.E.P. is a written Individual Education Plan for some student's that identifies the student's specific learning expectations and outlines how the school will address these expectations.

 What is an I.P.R.C?

 Identification, Placement, and Review Committee identifies a student with an exceptionality (based on Ministry of Education definition) and places the student in a program offered by the ALCDSB that will meet their learning needs.
