2011-2012 Full Day Early Learning Kindergarten Sites
Kindergarten class schedule remains consistent
The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board (ALCDSB) is very pleased to inform staff, parents and the public that the board will continue to operate the traditional schedule for alternate day Kindergarten classes for the 2010-11 school year. This schedule follows a consistent program schedule of ‘A’ days (Mondays/Wednesdays and a proportionate number of Fridays) and ‘B’ days (Tuesdays/Thursdays and a proportionate number of Fridays).

“I am pleased that we have responded to the concerns of parents and daycare providers in maintaining a consistent ‘A/B’ schedule,” said Michael Schmitt, Director of Education. “It is the best solution for our children and our families.”

Details of specific dates and the distribution of the calendar will be developed over the next few weeks, but parents can feel confident in this schedule and proceed with making arrangements around their children’s Kindergarten timetable. Click to see draft schedule.
The Full-Day Early Learning – Kindergarten Program (draft from the Ministry)
The Full-Day Early Learning-Kindergarten Program (Draft version) contains the learning expectations portion of the draft program document. This version will be updated with the introductory portion of the draft document shortly. The introductory portion will provide a broader context for the document, greater descriptions of play-based learning and the roles of the teacher-early childhood educator team. The complete draft document will be implemented in year one early learning sites beginning in September 2010.
Board proud to announce Early Learning sites
